He said some portions of Iloilo City and other towns covered by MIWD services can avail of their supply at a designated schedule.

MIWD consumers in Jaro, including Tabuc Suba and Alta Tierra area can avail of their supply on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:00 a.m. until 7:00 a.m. only, while consumers in Lapaz, Iloilo City Proper and Diversion are scheduled on these also, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Water supply for Mandurraio, Molo and Ar4valo are scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Maasin, Cabatuan and the subdivisions in Pavia such as don Julio, CPU, CPU Centennial, CPU SLO and Westville Subdivisions can gave water every Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 4:00 a.m. until 7:00 a.m.

On the other hand, Engr. Reyes said the MIWD is presently working on the de-siltation of basin one of its reservoir in Talanghauan, which involves the removal of silt from the basin in order to increase its storage capacity.

It has completed the desilting of the sedimentation basin in Barangay Buntalan, Maasin and it will soon implement the construction of riverbank protection to prevent clogging of silts in the intake structure of the dam.

Reyes said the MIWD is on the last phase of completing a P207-mill cn water supply improvement and rehabilitation project that will address the problem of leakages that have resulted to non-revenue water and systems loss.

He added that the water district is also planning to engage in a bulk water supply agreement, either through the funding of the government or a private sector participation in anticipation of the growing water demand of the service areas as a consequence of rapid development.(MIWD/PIA 6)
