Jamindan PNP wins third Most-Citizen Friendly station award

ROXAS CITY, Capiz, Sept. 11 (PIA6) – A plaque of recognition and P5,000 cash award was given to the Jamindan Police Station in Capiz for bagging third place in the regional search for the municipal category for the Most Citizen-Friendly police station.
The award was received by Jamindan PNP Chief Senior Insp. Roman B. Salazar, Jr. and town mayor Ethel R. Jinon from Police Regional Office (PRO) – 6 director C/Supt. Agrimero Cruz during an awarding ceremony last Sept. 3 at the Freedom Grandstand in Iloilo City.
Jamindan PNP boasts of its instituted programs for senior citizens and an outreach program for the community.
The awarding was in line with the 18th annual celebration of the National Crime Prevention Week.
In the same category, Cabatuan Police Station in Iloilo and Kalibo Police Station in Aklan clinched the first and second place, respectively.
For the city police stations, the Jaro PNP station in Iloilo City headed by Chief Insp. Gilbert Gorero bagged the award while San Carlos City Police Station and Silay City Police Station were declared second and third placers, respectively.
Each of the top police station received a plaque, P15,000 cash and a five-foot tall Most Citizen - Friendly icon.
In his message, Cruz has lauded the winners for their exemplary performance.
The region’s top cop also urged the public to do their part in crime prevention activities. (JCM/AAL/PIA 6 Capiz)
