Cabatuan, Iloilo (Sept. 18) - Gabrielle Jofe Dabi Pama and Christian Serrano won the Dancesports Competition (Modern Standard Category) during the Cabatuan Municipal Meet held at Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School (CNCHS) on Saturday, September 18, 2010. There were three pairs of contestants in the Modern Standard category: one from the first year, another from the second year (Gabrielle and Christian) and a third pair from the third year. All are students of Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School (CNCHS). Four dances were performed: Slow Waltz, Tango , Foxtrot and Quick Step. Basic movements were required. The dress code was issued by the DepED division office (Division of Iloilo) in a memo. The judges were Sol Lourdes L. Paniza (chief judge), Sabina Cadete (first judge) and Lemmuel G. Dureza (2nd judge). Gabrielle and Christian will represent Cabatuan in the Congressional District meet to be held also at Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School. Gabrielle is the daughter of Winston R. Pama and Ma. Jane Lilibeth Dabi Pama of Barangay Acao, Cabatuan. She graduated from Cabatuan Central Elementary School (CCES) in 2009 with the following awards: Dancer of the Year Sports Awardee ( Taekwondo ) bronze medalist integrated meet Class Historian ( national and local history quiz bee ) division level 1st runner up Journalists of the year Special Award (Miss CCES 2008) Gabrielle also placed second in the 2009 Ten Outstanding Elementary Pupils of Cabatuan. |
