CNCHS GOLDEN HARVEST SY 1992-1993 It is gratifying and inspiring to note that this school year, as in the past years, the Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School reaped numerous honors-mostly academic in nature - in various contests of local, provincial and national magnitude. The following honors, awards, and commendations constitute the school's "GOLDEN HARVEST" for the school year 1992-1993. I - SECONDARY SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE (Regional Level) MELITA MAYORMENTE - 1st Place, English Newswriting ARIEL MORALBA - 5th Place, English Photo-Journalism JOSEFINO PANCRUDO - 6th Place, English Sportswriting MAE CYRENE DOREGIOS - 7th Place, Filipino Copyreading and Headline Writing MARY CHRISTINE GIL 7th Place, Search For Miss RSSPC '93 II - SECONDARY SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE (National Level) THE GLOW (School Paper) - 2nd Place, Best Editorial Page Bracket B III - YMCA-DECS STUDENTS CONFERENCE (Regional Level) PLEBISCITO ALFARO - 2nd Place, Essay Writing JOSEFINO PANCRUDO 3rd Place, Extemporaneous Speech GERTJIE ALCAYAGA - 4th Place, Search For Miss YMCA '92 IV - FFP-FAHP WORK CONFERENCE (Regional Level) PERIGRINO BIANA - 1ST Place, Handicraft 5th Place, Bulb Installation and Wire Splicing MAYFLOR CATOLIN - 5th Place, Compounding Feed Ration PLEBISCITO ALFARO - 6th Place, Fertilizer Computation JAY ALERE - 6th Place, Plant Propagation V - DECS-DOST MATH OLYMPIAD (Provincial Level) THIRD YEAR TEAM - 2nd Place RAYMUND BOLA&OS - 6th Place, Second Year Level JOSEFINO PANCRUDO - 3rd Place, Third Year Level VI - GIRL SCOUT ENCAMPMENT (Provincial Level) The school contingent of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines was adjudged the MOST OUTSTANDING, MOST PUNCTUAL, and MOST DISCIPLINED CONTINGENT during the provincial encampment. MARY CHRISTINE GIL was chosen OUTSTANDING CAMPER and was second placer during the Talent Night of the encampment. VII - NATIONAL COURT OF HONOR, BSP MR. DANTE ROLDAN - Gold Service Award MR. GREGORIO SALA - Silver Service Award MR. DAVID MACHADO JR. - Bronze Service Award .9~ VII - CAT-I UNIT For seven consecutive years, the CAT I unit of the school has hugged the limelight when it was adjudged THE BEST among the 32 CAT-1 units in Central-Western Iloilo during the annual Theoritical, Administrative, and Tactical Inspection. Aside from maintaining this distinct honor, three students of the school topped two separate tests. MARY CHRISTINE GIL - Topnotcher, Ceremonial Parade Ground Arrangement NEZA DANOSOS -Topnotcher, Theoritical Exam for Cadets/Cadettes Gianelli Vuelga - Topnotcher, Theoritical Exam. for cadets/cadettes IX - WESTERN ILOILO SPORTS ASSOCIATION (WISA) MEET CNCHS BOYS SOFTBALL TEAM - Champion MARY CHRISTINE GIL - 3rd Place, English Declamation MAE DY - 3rd Place, Search for Miss WISA '92 X - NATIONAL COLLEGE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (NCEE) The passing percentage of the school in NCEE is the highest among the comprehensive high schools in the province of Iloilo. XI - SECONDARY EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (SEDP) MR. DANTE ROLDAN ranked first in Region VI during the screening of applicants for an 18-month scholarship grant on Human Resource Management in Australia. However, for health reasons, he was not able to avail of the scholarship grant. XII. FAHP NATIONAL AWARD MARY CHRISTINE GIL (Valedictorian) became a recipient of a national award from the national chapter of the Future Agricultural Homamakers of the Philippines (FAHP) for outstanding leadership and performance as an FAHP leader.
