For the past two years, one of the main features of the fiesta celebration has been the holding of HIRINUGYAW, a street-dancing contest participated in by government and private sectors in town. The contest, held on September 1, had two phases: dancing around the highlight of the celebration was a pro­gram held on August 19. The program featured contests on composo, creative dance, interpretative singing, and quizz contest. Rieza Velarde, IV-A, topped the quiz contest. The composo contest was dominated by Karen Cartagena, IV-2.
