In CNCHS, Linggo Ng Wika was observed on August 13-19. The theme of the celebration was "Ikarangal ang Filipino, Kaluluwa ng Bansa Mo." The SEPTEMBER 1996 Every year Cabatuan celebrates its town fiesta on September 10, in honor of Patron Saint San Nicolas de Tokotino. For the past two years, one of the main features of the fiesta celebration has been the holding of HIRINUGYAW, a street-dancing contest participated in by government and private sectors in town. The contest, held on September 1, had two phases: dancing around the highlight of the celebration was a pro­gram held on August 19. The program featured contests on composo, creative dance, interpretative singing, and quizz contest. Rieza Velarde, IV-A, topped the quiz contest. The composo contest was dominated by Karen Cartagena, IV-2. The dance group of the fourth year lorded it over in creative dance contest while the interpretative singing contest was won by the third year group. major streets in the plaza and the per­formance proper in the covered gym.
