MARCH 1998 54th Commencement Exercises Alumnus to address 593 graduates Dionisio Jiloca Caspe Jr., valedictorian of Class 1968 will address 573 secondary school and 20 post secondary graduates of the school during its 54th Commencement Exercises on March 27. The 45 year-old Certified Public Accountant is the eldest child in a family of six of the late Dionisio Celda Caspe and the former Lucia Jiloca Caspe. Both his father and mother are retired public school teachers of Cabatuan Central Elementary School. The commencement speaker demonstrated his academic excellence during his student days. He graduated from Cabatuan Central Elementary School in 1964 as First Honors. He pursued his secondary education at Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School and graduated in 1968 as class valedictorian. He acquired his B.S. Commerce degree in the University of San Agustin in 1972 as Magna Cum Laude. Presently he is enrolled at the University of St. La Salle Graduate School under the Senior Executive Program for Masters of Business Administration. Caspe is at present the Controller of of Central Azucarera de la Carlota, a sugar manufacturing firm; and Negros Industrial By-Products Processing, Inc., and Jade Orient Management Services, Inc., subsidiaries of Central Azucarera de la Carlota engaged in sugar farming. Prior to his present position Caspe was the Finance Officer of the same sugar central from Feb. 2 to June 30, 1988. From Feb. 16, 1987 to Jan. 31, 1988, lie was the Audit Supervisor of Fred J. Elizalde Group of Companies which include among others then Central Azucarera de la Carlota, Central Azucarera de Pilar, Manila Broadcasting Company and Philippine Broadcasting Company. I I He also was Housing and Resettlement Officer of Bacolod Housing Authority, Bacolod City on Jan. 1, 1982 to Feb. 15, 1987. On March 1, 1978 to April 30, 1979, he was staff assistant to the president and general manager of Integrated Handlers, Inc. He was promoted vice president and assistant general manager of the said firm on May 1, 1979 and served the position' until Dec. 31, 1981. He was staff auditor I and later became Senior Auditor of SGV and Co., the largest auditing firm in the country. He served the company from Jan. 4, 1973 to Feb. 28, 1978. He was part time instructor in-,4 Accounting and Auditing at the University of Negros Occidental Recoletos, University of Saint La Salle, La Consolacion College in Bacolod City and La Carlota City at ~(To page 13) Dionisio Caspe Jr. Aborde, Malaga lead Class '98 JORGE ABORDE Valedictorian Jorge Aborde and Arnie] Malaga will lead Class '98 during the 54th Commencement Exercises of the school on March 27 starting at 7:30 a.m. Aborde is the class valedictorian while Malaga is the class salutatorian. Aborde is the youngest of the six children of the late Leonardo Aborde, a seaman and the former Clarita Penit, a housewife. Malaga is the fourth child of the five children of Alfonso Malaga, a farmer and ARNIEL MALAGA Salutatorian the former Herminia Pescuela, housekeeper. A total of 573 graduates coming from the 13 sections of the fourth year class will receive their diplomas from Mrs. Febe B. Cang, general education supervisor 11, official representative of Dr. Pilar L. Pascual, regional director of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports. Other honor graduates of Class '98 include Cherry Marie Rute, first honorable mention; Fritz Llanora second honorable mention; Irene Bettina Pueyo, third honorable mention; Allan Janapon, fourth honorable mention; Alain Resano, fifth honorable mention. Zosimo Miravite Jr., sixth honorable mention; Arnel Pelona, seventh honorable mention; Stephen Miravite, eighth honorable mention; Jonah Jane Esmaya, ninth honorable mention; and Braddy Racho, tenth honorable mention. The school's 54th Commencement Exercises will be opened by a processional march of the graduates, together with their parents. A number of awards will be given to outstanding graduates during the program. Also during the program, the graduates will be inducted to CNCHS Alumni Association by Mr. Nonito Baldeviso, first vice president of the association. The theme of the commencement program this year is "Greater Progress Through Quality Education During the Centennial Philippine Independence. -
