During the 53rd Commencement Exercises of the school on March 27, the Golden Jubilarians will join in the processional march, together with the members of the graduating class. After the distribution of diplomas to the graduates, each of the golden jubilarians will be awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for having survived 50 years after graduating from Cabatuan High School and for contributing his or her share in giving a name to the school. The week-long activities will be highlighted by the staging of `dampug' at 4:30 a.m. on April 12, Easter Sunday. The ceremony will be preceded by a procession of the images of the Risen Christ and his Sorrowing Mother, in two separate directions, from the church to the `dampugan' or the place where the ceremony will take place. `Dampug' is an angel personified by a small girl of boy who will announce the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The `dampug' this year is John Carlo Puga Cabello.
