MARCH 1998 Re (;&m 27 ing the Search for Lakan at Lakambini Ng Wika '95. Our very active and enthusiastic Girl Scouts-Francis Gerlyn Tronco, Angelic Soresca, and Maria Lulu Caspe represented our school in the provincial encampment of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines held in Camp Pasica, Dingle, Iloilo. Zosimo Miravite Jr. and Sheryl Overio showed their superiority during the literary-musical contests of the Intramural Meet. The former copped the gold medal in Filipino declamation contest while the latter placed second in English declamation contest. Our class placed third in the over-all standing of teams during Intrams '95. Our second year in CNCHS was more rewarding and inspiring than our initial year. However, we believed more had to be done to give greater honor and fame to our class. Third Year "It is wonderful to discover the hidden intelligence and talents of man. But nothing beats 1he beauty and joys of discovering God's gift." Our penultimate year in CNCHS proved to be very exciting, thrilling, inspiring, rewarding, and above all romantic. It was during our junior year when our struggle for academic excellence were motivated and inspired by emotional considerations. Many of us felt the pangs of "crushes" and "infatuations" caused by the arrow of Cupid that hit our heart. During the election of the Student Government, Cherry Marie Rute, Maria Lulu Caspe, Sally Fe Galindo, Angelic Soresca, and Francis Gerlyn Tronco were elected as senators. Arniel Malaga, Ryan Carasco, and Lex Montafiez were elected as third year representatives. We demonstrated our superiority during the observance of Linggo Ng wika. Our entry was adjudged first place in interpretative singing contest and third place in Quiz Bee contest while Julian Guardamano garnered the second place in composo contest. Jay Pedrola and Joy Gelogo ranked second and fifth, respectively, in slogan contest. We also made remarkable achievements during the celebration of the United Nations Week. Jorge Aborde manifested his literary skill in writing essays when he placed second in essay-writing contest. Zosimo Miravite Jr. ranked second in flag indentification contest. In the Search for Miss UN '96, Francis Gerlyn Tronco was proclaimed first runner up. During the observance of National Statistics Month, Ariel Malaga ranked second in Regional Statistics Quiz contest. The editorial staffs of our school publication "The Glow" and its Filipino counterpart "Ang Sinag" were dominated by our classmates. Named as editor-in-chief of the Glow was headed by Jorge 'vborde, editor­in-chid'. Jorge Aborde proved his best in essay writing contest. The tandem of Zosimo Miravite Jr. and Reymann Talite lorded them over in vocabulary contest. From the Regional FFP/FAHP/ FFPCC Regional Work Conference, our classmates brought home some honors, Jorge Aborde was elected Press Relations Officer of the FAH? Regional Organization. Julian Guardamano placed fourth in making butter cake contest and seventh in poster-slogan and corsage-making contests. During the Intramural Meet, we excelled in various sports competitions. We emerged as champion in football, boys volleyball, girls table tennis, and boys badminton. Carl Rupert Muela showed his best in extemporaneous speaking contest while Michael Richard Nava copped second place in English declamation contest. Jezrahel Paniza added a feather to the cap of our class when he was proclaimed and crowned as Mr. High School Day '96. Finally, seven of our classmates formed part of the CNCHS delegation that attended the provincial encampment of the Girl Scout of the Philippines. They were Rhea Isabel Rando, Francis Gerlyn Tronco, Heide Flor Corral, Sharon Padilla, Mary Joyce Ramos, Debra Joey Brunia, and Ramelie Ortega. All is well that ends well. Our third year in CNCHS ended well but we believed we had to exert greater efforts to crown our beloved CNCHS with greater laurels. Fourth Year "Very sweet is success if earned through hard work and unflinching determination to succeed. Ho.,,ever, parting is indeed such a sweet sorrow." How fast time flies! It seems unbelievable but true that we are about to end our search for secondary education. Very soon, whether we like it or not, we have to make our exit from a school which we have learned to love through the years. We started our senior year by joining the summer institute training
