32 MARCH 1998 arrived at the 5 star Valentine Hotel nestling on top of Pamulogan Hill. The hotel is owned by Sheryl Overio but managed by hotelier Michael Richard Nava. The reception was held in the Boracay Hall of the hotel, designed by famous interior designers Maria Susana Algarne and Mitzy Silva. Present during the reception were very important guests. Some of them were Rommel Roxas, president of the Philippine Taekwondo Association; Francis Gerlyn Tronco, president of Philippine Science University; Jerome Celda, president of the Philippine Couturiers Association; Adrian Confesor, coach of Alaska which became a grand slam champion in PBA conferences; the former Florife Rabago now the First Lady of Iloilo; Chenes Alcolea, owner of a movie production outfit CA Films; and Maricar Consumo, owner-manager of a chain of stores in Manila. While partaking of the sumptuous lunch, from my seat, I saw the panoramic view of Cabatuan City. In the southeastern portion of the city stand the majestic and imposing buildings of Cabatuan State University. The buildings were constructed under the supervision of a famous civil engineer. Engr. Allan Janapon. The prestigious university is headed by Dr. Irene Bettina Pueyo, Ph.D. I also learned from a very reliable source that most of the university's 'academic heads were my, former classmates in high school. They are Dr. Arnel Pelonia, Ph.D., dean of the College of Education; Richard Sumagpao, dean of the College of Engineering; Atty. Ritchel Mae Patrimonio, dean of the College of Law; Dr. Nerissa Licera, Ed. D., principal of the High School Department; and Maribel Gomez, principal of the Elementary Department. At the northern part of Cabatuan City is the Ramon Tabiana Medical Center under the administration of Dr. Maria Lulu Caspe. Working as nurses are Rodgen Jabor, Daniel Ortega, Leomie Sobreguil, Johna Celda, Laila Saldivar, and Remy Cadete. At the eastern part is situated "the modern Iloilo International Airport. The main terminal building was designed by architects Grelando Hisu and Charger Operio. From time to time, beautiful international flight stewardesses could be seen in the premises of the airport. They are Ramilie Ortega, Fhevie Lim, Rhea Isabel Rando, and Norina Acebo. In one comer of the reception hall, I saw a dashing and handsome young man talking with a friend. At first I did not recognize them but after a while I found out that the two were Giovanni Techo and Reymann Talite. I read in the papers that Giovanni Techo won the Best Actor Award during the recent Manila Film Festival while Reymann Talite is the manager of the most famous band in the Philippines. As the well wishers were partaking of the lunch, they were entertained by the soothing voice of Asia's King of Songs, Fritz Llanora. I listened attentively to Fritz' velvet voice which made me nostalgic of our high school days. All of a sudden, the song of Fritz ended and I heard a waltz music. Unexpectedly, somebody tapped my shoulder. It was Rowena Calero who handed me a rose. "It's now your turn to dance with the debutant," Rowena admonished me. I felt embarrassed because I felt into a deep sleep in my chair while the party was going on. I dreamed about the future of Class '98. With a big smile, I handed the rose to Cherry and danced with her. As I was dancing, I tried to recall my dream, hoping that my dream would come true someday.
