From the office of the Administrator A Question of Sincerity "The value of an idea has nothing whatsoever to do with the sincerity of the man who expresses it. Indeed, the probabilities are that the more insincere the man is, the more purely intellectual will the idea be, as in that case it will not be coloured by either his wants, his desires, or his prejudices." So says Lord Henry in the book entitled The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde (1854 –1900), an Anglo-Irish playwright and author. These words of Oscar Wilde simply points out that when there is no bearing to the actual needs of the agency that one manages, one lacks sincerity in what one speaks. Concrete manifestations must always be there that reflects the needs and longings of the one facilitating and those with whom one serves. It is in this context that your administrator communicates to you all with utmost sincerity. As one must have observed our school has undergone, so many developments. One can not but note that the classrooms have become more conducive to learning. The once unfinished structures of the Filipino and Science departments have become functional and the roofs that were once either rusting, in green, or in primer orange are gradually being repaired and painted blue. Students who found it hard to study at the shop extension have their respective classrooms now. In 1995, there were six (6) sections crowded together at the shop extension for their classes, two (2) made the main library theirs. Your administrator wanted the students to perform better. Hence, intensive representations and linkages were made to insure that the pressing needs of our school can be addressed with. Initially,, the facilities and extensive faculty and staff development were the foci in the school's march in bringing quality education to the masses. THE COOPERATION AND UNITED EFFORTS OF ALL WERE CRUCIAL FOR THE DREAMS TO BE REALIZED... THEY WERE DUE TO US ALL. In the years that followed, the school participated and reaped a vast number of laurels REY B. VENCER for the community and itself. As it garnered distinctions, organizational re-engineering was also done so that in the forseable future full transparency becomes one of its pillars of service to its clientele. It would also insure high level of responsiveness to the needs of the students, parents, faculty, staff, and supportive members of the community. The best way is to look at things in their proper perspective and to see the totality of what we have achieved in the span of almost seven (7) years. We had lots of challenges that we were able to surmount. We have made our school more apt in providing a higher quality of basic education. the GLOW april 2002 1
