58th Commencement Exercises Hann, Montoya lead Class 2002 JC M. Halili and Kevin G. Montoya lead class 2002 during the 58th Commencement Exercises of the school on April 2 starting at 7:30 a.m., in the covered gym of the town plaza. Halili is the class valedictorian while Montoya is the class salutatorian. JC M. HALILI Halili is the youngest of the three children of Roy H. Halili and the former Mary Agnes Moneva. Halili plans to take up Accountancy at the Central Philippine University. Montoya is the youngest of the five children of Romeo Montoya Jr. and the former Rosario Galindo. Montoya plans to take up Accountancy at the University of the Philippines. A total of 657 high school graduates composing the 12 sections of the fourth year and 26 post­secondary graduates will receive their diplomas from Atty. Victoriano B. Tirol Jr., Ph.D. Ed. D., director Dep Ed, Region VI represented by Mrs. Dolores Guillergan, Educational Supervisor II, Dep Ed Region VI based in Duran St., Iloilo City. Other honor graduates of class 2002 include Marian M. Lujan, first honorable mention, Lorvilyn T. Amoroso, 2nd honorable mention; Dee M. Gomez, 3,d honorable mention; Rhea Joy C. Abordo, 4th honorable mention; Rashelle M. Tormon, 5th honorable mention; John Federick Caballero, 6th honorable mention; and Jenne Grace, Bibanco, 7th honorable mention. With honors are Althea June S. Biaoco, Henley C. Puga, Armie M. Artieda, Noemi N. Apistar and Riza June M. Maquilado. Lujan is the fourth of the five children of Carlos R. Lujan and the former Erlinda Marcon; Amoroso is the third of the six children of Virgilio Amoroso and the former Lorna Tejon; Gomez is the second of the four children of Willie Gomez and the former Paula Miro. Abordo is the only child of Gilberto Abordo and the former Gertrudes Clamucha; Tormon is the eldest of the four children of Ruperto Tormon Jr. and the former Purificacion Mayormente; Caballero is the eldest of the three children of Federico A. Caballero Jr. and the former Ma. Juana L. Brodit; Bibanco is the second of the three children of Carlos Bibanco and the former Saturnine Artieda. Biaoco is the eldest of the five children of Allan Biaoco and the former Teresita Solute; Puga is the younger of the two children of Isidro Puga and the former Ninfa Caspe; Artieda is the eldest of the three children of Wenceslao Artieda and the former Roselyn M,irasol; Apistar is the youngest of the three children of Noe Apistar and the former Josette Noquez; Maquilado is the younger of two children of Francisco Maquilado and the former Santiaga Mae Maganto. The school's 58th Commencement Four major activities will formally end the school year 2001-2002 in Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School. On March 21, the Seniors' Day will be held. For the whole day, the graduating students will have a series of activities. It will start with a street dancing around the major streets in the poblacion. At the campus immediately after the parade will be the final performance of the street dancing contest by each of the 12 sections of the four year. The seniors will have lunch with their parents and teachers in their respective "Kayang­kayang" or improvised shed put up by each section immediately after the morning activities. Search for Mr. and Miss Seniors represented by each of the 12 sections will start at 1:30 in the afternoon. KEVIN G. MONTOYA Exercises will be opened by a processional march of the ,graduates together with their parents. The march will start from the Bonifacio Monument to the covered gym. The graduates will be joined by the surviving members of class '52, the "Golden Jubilarians" of the school. A number of awards in cash or in kind will be awarded to the outstanding graduates of the school. Also, during the program the graduates will be inducted to Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School Alumni Association by Mr. Nonito G. Baldeviso, first vice president of the association. The annual Recognition Day Program will start at 7:30 a.m. on March 27 at the community stage. To be honored during the program will be outstanding fourth year students and those students in the lower curriculum years who demonstrated academic excellence and those who made outstanding achievements during the school year. To thank God for his gift of graduation, the graduating students will offer a Baccalaureate Mass on April 1 at 7:00 a.m. at the parish church. As usual the mass will be officiated by Rt. Rev. Msgr. Amadeo Escahan, H.P., parish priest. The school will hold its 58'h Commencement Exercises on April 2 starting at 7:30 a.m. at the community stage.
