PTCA AWARDS PARENTS OF HONOR GRADUATES The Parents-Teachers – Community Association of the school honored the parents of honor graduates during the graduation program on April 2. Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to parents of honor graduates by the officers of the PTCA Board of Directors headed by Mr. Felipe Casianan Jr., chairman of the board and Mr. Pio Lujan, president of the board. The recipients of the award were led by Mr. and Mrs. Roy Halili (nee Mary Agnes Moneva) whose son JC graduated valedictorian, and Mr. and Mrs. Romeo Montoya, Sr. (nee Rosario Galindo) whose son Kevin graduated salutatorian. Other recipients of the award were Mr. and Mrs. Carlos R. Lujan (nee Erlinda Marcon) whose daughter Marian was first honorable mention; Mr. and Mrs. Virgilio Amoroso (nee Lorna Tejon) whose daughter Lorvilyn was second honorable mention; Mr. and Mrs. Willie Gomez (nee Paula Miro) whose daughter Dee was third honorable mention. Mr. and Mrs. Gilberto Abordo (nee Gertrudes Clamucha) whose daughter Rhea Joy was fourth honorable mention; Mr. and Mrs. Ruperto Tormon, Jr. (nee Purificacion Mayormente) whose daughter Rashelle was fifth honorable mention; Mr. and Mrs. Federico Caballero, Jr. (nee Juana Brodit) whose son Federick was sixth honorable mention; Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Bibanco (nee Saturnine Artieda) whose daughter Jenne Grace was seventh honorable mention. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Bianco (nee Teresita Solute) whose daughter Althea June graduated with honors; Mr. and Mrs. Isidro Puga (nee Ninfa Caspe) whose son Henley was with honors; Mr. and Mrs. Wenceslao Artieda (nee Roselyn Mirasol) whose daughter Armie was with honors; Mr. and Mrs. Noe Apistar (nee Josette Noquez) whose daughter Noemi was with honors-, and Mr. and Mrs. Francisco Maquilado (nee Santiaga Mae Maganto) whose daughter Riza June was with honors. The awarding of Certificates of Appreciation to parents of honor graduates has been an on-going program of CNCHS PTCA. It aims not only to give due honor and recognition to parents Mrs. Mary Agnes m,/ 16,u !, mother and brother of X class valedictorian received the certificate of appreciation from the PTCA Chairman of the Board, Felipe Casianan. whose children will graduate with flying colors but also to inspire other parents to help their children achieve academic excellence. The giving of the certificates has become one of the main features of the graduation program every year. The PTCA Board of Directors is composed of Mr. Felipe A. Casianan, Jr. as chairman of the board. Mr. Pio Lujan is the president, Mr. Valentin Sujede, vice. Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School is a recipient of 20 units of Compaq Personal Computers with complete accessories, 2 colored printers and a modern for. Internet access from the Department of Trade and Industry sponsored by DTI Secretary Mar Roxas in coordination with the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Education. The computer units are Japan's official assistance all over the Philippines distributed by the NG KNAI Development Corporation. Mr. Rey B. Vencer, vocational school administrator; Mr. Rodrigo Tacay, head, Science Department and Mr. Victor Maroma, special Assistant to the Mr. and Mrs. Romeo Mont r (n, Rosario Galindo), parents of Kevin Montoya, class salutatorian received the certificate of appreciation from Afr. Pio Ligon, PTCA president. president; Mrs. Elena Mandarin, secretary; Mrs. Annie Tobias, treasurer; Miss Josefina Samar, auditor-, and Mr. Rafael Galindo, Buss. Manager; other members of the board are; Reynaldo Nandin, Nonito Baldeviso, Elizabeth Caballero, Thelma Clementir, Virgilio Morata, Lope Apelo Jr., Zelpha Carmelo, Rufo Casianan, Victor Maroma, and Kevin Montoya, student representative. Vocational School Administrator received the units on March 21. A 2-day basic computer seminar sponsored by the DTI and the authorized distributor was scheduled for the recipients: Carvasana National High School of Calinog, Janivay National High School, Lambunao National High School and Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School. Twelve delegates from the above-mentioned schools converged at CNCHS for special instructions on warranty of the units, basic operations, facts about the computer, putting the pieces together and Internet basics.
