CLASS 2002 Prophecy by: Noemi Apistar, Riza June Maquilado, and Resthel Puga They all fully understood his disposition since he entered the portals of Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School. Kris, as he is familiarly called, is more popular than the intellectual elite of the school. He is indeed well liked in many aspects. Once his name is mentioned, a peculiar person is what comes to every mind. One class day in March, his teachers reprimanded him due to his peculiar behavior. In every room that he entered, his teacher called his attention to his behavior. On his way home from school, the unpleasant remarks of his teachers kept on ringing in his head. He then asked himself, "Am I that undesirable?" While reflecting on the remarks of his teachers, he was suddenly bumped by a vehicle from nowhere. He was brought to the hospital but his thoughts were still focused on his teachers. Moments later, he fainted. Seconds became minutes and minutes became hours. Kris opened his eyes and surprisingly he found himself sitting on a long wooden bench, together with a man wearing a long white cloak. That man was familiar to him. Kris met him before but he could not recall who he was. "Where am I?" Kris asked. The man flashed a cordial smile and replied, "You are in your perfect time in your future." "Future?" Kris asked. "Yes, come along with me for there are eminent people you have to brush elbow with and be acquainted with." They walked together in a place where problems do not exist, where everything is perfect. The man reads a notice, "We are in Cabatuan City, the city of intellectual people". The two walked towards the gate of Kris' Alma Mater, Cabatuan International University – an international school of Harvard University standards. The university broke the record of many prominent universities in Asia, for having been consistently evaluated as a topnotch university for seven years. In the administration building, they met Superintendent Tommy Leo Losbahes and his better-half Ma. Liza Bernardo, owner of the most luxurious vessel that can traverse the Atlantic Ocean in few hours. Walking their way to the English Department, they came across Prof. Rhea Joy C. Abordo. Proceeding to the Science Department, they met Prof. Lily Jean Sumbilla, while in the Mathematics Department was Prof. Kathy Jane Licera and in the Filipino Department, Prof. Febe Mana-ay. As the clock continued to tick, the two made their way to Cabatuan Medical Center, a medical institution that is renowned for its complete and hi-tech facilities. The man told Kris that the President of the Philippines was there doing a civic action. 'Approaching, Kris and the man met His Excellency President Kevin G. Montoya and his captivating First Lady, Dr. Marie Antionette Galagate, M.D., the proprietor of the aforementioned hospital. Working in the hospital were world-renowned medical practitioners namely Dr. Ann Christine Alviar, Dr. Sunshine Rae Fajardo, Dr. Zoe Paniza, and Dr. Josefa Vistavilla. The civic action of the president was simulcast in several international television networks and broadcast by prominent media personalities, Althea June Biaoco and the intrepid Mark Archer Balberde during their late afternoon program, "May extra na May extra pa!" The TV station was owned by the celebrated Crisel Daguison and her hubby Miguel Tagamtam, a business tycoon. Several members of the cabinet were also present to reinforce the presidential humanitarian project. There were Gen. Angelo Reyes, Secretary of National Defense; Dr. Dee Gomez, -Secretary of Health; and Annalisa Celendro, Secretary of Tourism. Prominent members of the judiciary were also present to give gifts to the impoverished patients. They were Supreme Court Justices Riza June Maquilado, Noemi Apistar and Rashelle Tormon.
