SY 2003-2004 .Cq~(M qvfem S~euelll To the entire CNCHS Community: Through our school paper, The Glow, I would like to reach out to all of you on matters that are of vital importance to our school. The task of administering our school is indeed herculean. It cannot be successfully done by only one person. It requires the collective efforts and all-out cooperation of everyone in school. It is in this context that I would like to appeal to all the students, the faculty and staff of our school. Dear students: As the Officer-in-Charge of the school, rest assured that I will give the best of what God has bestowed on me - my intelligence and my talents - to provide your with quality secondary education and to promote your welfare. I appeal to all of you to please cooperate with us, your second parents in school. To maintain peace and order in our school, please always follow school rules and regulations. If you have conflict with your fellow student, do not hesitate to approach any school official for help. Please do not put the law into your own hand. Be conscientious in your studies. Your future greatly depends upon your devotion to studies at present. Your parents will surely feel happy and compensated if they see your walking on the straight path of life. Our school has competent teachers who are helping you transform your dreams in life to reality. Listen to their words of wisdom, internalize and practice them in your daily life so that you will always be in the right track in life. Through the tutelage of your teachers, please maximize the development of your innate intelligence, talents and skills. In doing so, you will be giving a name to our beloved Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School. Please bear in mind that our school enjoys a certain degree of fame because of its record of achievements. Together with the administration, the faculty and staff of our school, let us improve the academic record of our school. Personally I am of the belief that CNCHS teems with students possessed with intellectual potentials awaiting maximum development. My fellow teachers: I accepted, without an), second thought, the gigantic responsibility of administering our school because of the thought that all of you will be behind my administration. Needless to say, I am helpless without your all-out support and continuing cooperation. As we work together, I appeal to all of you, fellow teachers, to increase our commitment to our chosen profession. Let us live up to the epithet heaped upon us - moulder of the youth! Indeed our students expect much from us. They look upon us as their role models. Their young minds thirst for our love, care, and understanding. Let us quench that thirst through our collective efforts. Let us not fail our students in their expectations of us by generously, religiously, and consistently sharing with them our talents, our intelligence, and our professional competence. I also appeal to all teachers, most especially the young ones, to continue growing professionally. Your professional growth, to a certain extent, will be your potent weapon in becoming an effective facilitator of learning. To the support staff: I also appeal to all of you to increase your commitment to your duties and responsibilities. Your day-to-day efforts should complement and supplement the efforts of the faculty to attain the realization of the vision and mission of our school. Indeed all sectors in CNCHS community - the studentry, the faculty, the staff - should work together as a TEAM. Everyone in school should be inside of only one big circle in order to realize our goal of making Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School a fountain of quality secondary education and a prestigious institution of learning. My dear students my fellow teachers, and members of the support staff of our school: At all times, let us do our duties and responsibilities as a TEAM because Together Everyone Achieves More. God bless our collective efforts! Victor S. Maroma Master 7cacher 11 Officer-in-Charge Office of the Vocational Administrator I tnmrnufig TD"Ards o inew d7z(acUun ~or CKCHS by: Ma- Anndrea L. Hernandez The school year 2003-2004 had just begun when there was a change in the administration of the school. Exit Mr. Rey B. Veneer; Enter Mr. Victor S. Maroma. We in theschool paper commend Mr. Maroma for accepting therargantuan responsibility of administering CNCHS with store than 3,000 students arid 730 members of the facu faculty and staff. With his innate intelligence and talents, coupled with the support of the faculty and staff, Mr. Maroma will surely make some improvements in school. We wish you, Sir Maronia, the best of everything in your administration of CNCHS. It is inspiring to note that as Officer-in-Charge of the school, Mr. Maroma has initiated some improvements in school. He stepped up security measures being enforced by the school. He effected a facelift oftire off ces on theground floor of the administration building. He revived the landscapedgardening contest. Through his initiative, the schooll has acquired a new vehicle for the rise not only of school officials and employees but also of the students. More power to you, Sir Maroma! It irritates us to note that many students are violating school rules and regulations. Many students use fake ID's, some jump over the fence, and others smoke inside the school campus. Fellow students, let us always beat- in mind that the school exists for our welfare. Our teachers are oursecond parents. At all times, let us follow school rides and regulations. Let its heed the advises ofour teachers. To ensure a bright future, let us build a better tomorrow... TODAY! * X. * * * We take our hats off to the Teachers and Employees Association of our school, as well as to all benefactors, for constructing covered catwalks connecting buildings in school. * * * X. * Needless to say, the covered catwalksrovide convenience to everyone in school during any weather condition. Rain or shine, we can go from one building to another without exposing ourselves to the heat of the sun or to the rain. Thank you, TEA, school alumni, arid other benefactors for your gesture ofconcern for our welfare; Also worth commending is the PTCA of our school. For several years, the PTCA has been an indispensable partner of our school iti effecting greater progress and development. The present PTCA is under a new leadership. Although it has a new set of officers, we are optimistic that the Association can equal or even surpass the achievements of the previous leadership due to the intelligence, talents, and dedication of the officers. Mabuhatt, CNCHS PTCA! CNCHS has some "new"Jeatures - newschool head, new officers of PTCA, new officers of Student Government, and new supervising authoritywhich is the Iloilo Schools Division Office of the Department of Education. With the total and continuing cooperation of all the aforementioned, CNCHS will have a "new" focus - the making of CNCHS as a more prestigious institution of learning. Communitii ViOnettem• Mau, inc-U, CabatucmM 3a ward Q- by Diana Mae, R. Yniego We in the school paper are indeed pleased to note that signs of progress are visible in all nooks and corners of the town. * * * X. * In any barangay in town, big and concrete houses continue to rise. In the poblacion, commercial buildings keep on mushrooming, thus changing tire skyline of the heart of the town. The number of business investments in town is increasing. * * * * X Definitely, more investments will mean more income for our town and more job opportunities for our people. This situation will turn the wheels of progress in our town faster. Is Cabatuan moving towards cityhood? Spetzking of business investments, we are of the belief that there are Cabatuananons, especially abroad and in other parts of the country, who have been blessed with material blessings in life. We invite these Cabatuananons to plow back their financial resources to our town through business investments. Cabatuananons themselves call greatly accelerate the progress and development of their town. The construction of an airport of international standards in Cabatuan -- Sta. Barbara area is scheduled to start soon. Reports say that the ground-breaking ceremonies will be done sometime in November this year. Will the start of the construction push through as scheduled? Let's keep our fingers crossed! * * X * * It is inspiring to note that barangays in the poblacion are becoming more and snore conscious about the cleanliness and greenness of their barangays. This attitude of our people is transforming tire clean-and-green image. ofCabatuan. 'Ale fervently hope that this attitude of our people will not be another typical example of the ningas-cogon attitude of the Filipinos. Let's make cleanliness as our way of life. Cleanliness is next to Godliness. * 9- X_ * * We commend tire Municipal Government for maintaining the cleanliness of our town plaza. The plaza is the show window of tire town, hence it is imperative upon our local government officials toniaintain its cleanliness. * * * * X However, everyone in town must cooperate in maintaining the cleanliness of the town plaza. In this regard, strict enforcement of the anti-littering ordinance is necessary. A word of advice: Don't be a litter bug, use a litter bag. Accelerating the progress arid development of Cabatuan is the responsibility of every Cabatuananon. Under the leadership of our municipal officials, let us be one in making our town a place which every Cabatuananon call be proud Of. Onward, Cabatuan!
