The ,1,rpr f I To sustain interest of students in remedial classes, the school held an Awarding Program for achievers in the Remedial Classes on October 14, 2006 at the covered gym of the school. The awardees are students of the last two sections of the first year who made remarkable achievements in their academic subjects in English, Science, and Mathematics. A total of forty six achievers were awarded with school supplies and ribbons for being the 'Top Three', 'Most Improved Students', and 'Best in Attendance' in their class during the program. The top three in Remedial Reading were Allen Juntarciego, Kevin Leyso, and Constanten Edward Rosaldes of 1-13, while Mark Benneth Binueza, Mary Grace Mainar, and Rey Jane Altes led the list of 1-14. Tejereso of I-13. Jason Saquite, Rey Jane Altes, and Mark Stephen Silorio of I-14 were the other awardees. In Science 1, the 'Most Improved Students' award was given to John Lester Ceballos, John Vincent Quiling, Mark Tiongson, and Alan Pefiacerrada. Vincent Solon was the awardee in Math I. A total of twenty three students received the award in "Best in Attendance". The awarding program is a means of maintaining students' interest in remedial classes as well as a channel of getting parents' involvement in the education of their children. Mrs. Nerissa T. N EwS Three officers of the Supreme Student Government (SSG) of the school attended the National Leadership Training for Student Government Officers (NLTSGO) held on August 16-21, 2006 at Teachers' Camp, Baguio City. ' The delegates were Patrick Philip Casianan, president and a fourth year SSC student of the school; Matt Louie Caspe, vice-president and a student of III-SSC, and Louvie Jane Clarito, third year representative. The delegates were accompanied by Mr. Jimmy Olmos, the club adviser. This year leadership training focused on the theme, "Building Leaders, Strengthening Communities and Making Them Work. Burdens, president of the National Federation of Student Government said, "In this day and age of leadership being put to the test, turning ordinary, failing many and losing its usual pull of gravity, we used inspiration to make leadership attractive again to young and old alike. Ranked second in the same competition was the team of Mateo National High School. Sheena June Pancrudo, also a fourth year student of the school, emerged as the winner in Scrabble. In the dramatic category, CNCHS team bested the group of Tiring National High School as it emerged the champion in the Verse Initiative. Together with the DepEd CSCA, the Bureau of Secondary Education (BSE), BusinessWorks, Inc. and the Ateneo Student Trainers (STRAINS) conducted the training. The NLTSGO centered on the specific needs of a student leader and Police, Camp Crame, Quezon City. The Municipal PNP Station was also a recipient of another award. It was named as the Most Citizen-Friendly Police Station in Western Visayas for 2006, in the municipal police station category of the regional search. The Certificate of Recognition for Cabatuan Police Station was received by P/S Insp. Agustin F. Huesca, the chief of police, on September 7, 2006 at Police Regional Office 6 in Iloilo City. It should be recalled that last year, the Cabatuan Police Station was adjudged as the 211 Most Citizen-Friendly Police Station in Western Visayas. On December 12, 2006, the used inspiration to make leadership attractive again to young and old alike. Yee, the Rural Health Physician who is also the vice chairman of the Board. The other members of the Local Health Board are Mrs. Teresa G. Parreflo, the secretary; Sangguniang Bayan Member Angel C. Aguero; Mrs. Catherine L. Valle, the Public Health nurse; Mrs. Teresita C. Bacinillo, the president of the Municipal Federation of Barangay Health Workers; Mrs. Caroline C. Contesting schools competed closely with each other in the Battle of the Brains and Scrabble as each team strived to emerge as the champion.
